They approached us with idea of creating a minimal, light filled interior for their back yard cottage. Built in 1904, the cottage was in serious disrepair, but had good bones, and some funky elements that we embraced like the arch top steel window and dormers. Skylights bathe the stair and back wall with natural light. The materials are inexpensive, but carefully considered and detailed. Radiant floors keep the cottage cozy, and a graphic black and white paint scheme is a signature motif by the owners.
